At the moment I am looking for a long-term relationship with a submissive woman (cis or trans) whose need/desire for submission extends beyond the bedroom and into other parts of the relationship as well, and goes beyond a sense of playing a role (roleplay scenes are fun, but I want the relationship to be more than that!)   I would probably describe this as more "slave" than "sub" but different people have different associations for those words and I won't be picky over what you want to call it!   This does mean that I want to meet someone compatible not just on a kink level but on a 'nilla level as well.

Some of my favourite things to do are baking (see the personal ad title!), music-making and writing (sci-fi/fantasy, and sometimes BDSM erotica).   I keep a blog at A Femanist View where I write about personal, political and other thoughts about life (which is why I don't comment much on IC any more).   I like a lot of different types of music, ranging from the silly to the epic and from folk to heavy metal.   I also read a lot and love learning new things.

Kinkwise, I'm pretty diverse: although I identify as orientationally "Dom" or "Master", I like to play with the submissive side of the ball as well, and no - I don't think that makes me a "switch", because my identity is Dom, switching is just something I play with (that is, I feel I never stop being a Dom, even if/when I play the role of sub for a little while).   I'm also not terribly fussy about gender.   Most kinks, I can get into, especially if I know my partner is also into them, and I am all but unshockable so if a potential partner wanted to try something, it's worth saying it however extreme or "out-there" it might seem.

Likewise, I'll not be shocked by any question anyone wanted to ask me (although I do reserve the right not to answer if I'm not comfortable with sharing that information yet) so feel free to memo me about whatever.

Preferred title: I prefer not to be too specific with definitions of "slave" or "submissive" because everyone's ideas differ slightly, and I prefer to let you choose which term feels most suitable to you. A "servant" is a submissive who identifies most strongly with the service role and would see herself as most comfortable in a long-term role similar to a housemaid or other domestic servant. A "slut" is someone who focuses mostly on the sexual side and might not feel particularly submissive at all, but enjoys BDSM sexually and would enjoy having some element of that sexuality in most parts of everyday life, not just the bedroom.

If you feel more than one term applies to you, then choose the one that you feel most closely describes you.

BDSM Orientation: This describes the types of BDSM play that interest you. The terms may be interpreted as follows:

Switch: Enjoy being both "Top" (e.g. Dominant) and "Bottom" (e.g. submissive).

Submissive: Enjoys surrendering control of sex or a relationship, to another.

Masochist: Finds (sexual) pleasure from the experience of pain

Sadist: Finds (sexual) pleasure from causing pain

Bondage: Finds (sexual) pleasure from being tied up or restrained

Forced/rebellious: Enjoys being "forced" into sexual acts, and/or pretending to try to fight off one's partner. The activities will have been agreed beforehand, and limits set as to what can or can't be forced on the participant(s)

Obedient: Enjoys being ordered to perform sexual acts and then carrying out those orders. (sometimes in combination with any of the others)

Humiliation: Enjoys being embarrassed or humiliated by the instructions or challenges set by a partner (sometimes in combination with any of the others)

Relationship Orientation: Describes how you feel about different sorts of relationships. The terms may be interpreted as follows:

Monogamous: having only one partner. For example, a normal marriage is monogamous.

Polyamorous: having loving (possibly sexual) relationships with more than one partner at a time.

Sub-sister: being an equal to another submissive or slave in a polyamorous relationship with a Dominant.

Loaned to or shared with others: May involve "one-night-stand" sex or BDSM with someone other than your Dominant, or may involve longer-term polyamorous arrangements where you are asked to serve more than one Dominant.

Alpha sub/have own sub: Instead of being a "sub-sister", this would be a polyamorous relationship in which you are senior in a hierarchy over a second submissive partner. This partner may or may not be a part of a relationship with your Dominant partner.

Sexual Orientation: This refers to the types of partners whom you find sexually attractive, or would like to try having sex with. Some of the terms may be unfamiliar. These are:

Genderqueer: someone who exhibits characteristics of both male and female genders, or neither. For the purposes of the form, this term includes androgynous or intersex people.

CD/TV: "crossdresser" or "transvestite". These terms refer to people who present themselves as the opposite gender from their "usual" one.

Transsexual: A person whose true sex is different from their birth/genital sex, and who has taken steps to live in their true gender rather than the one assigned at birth. A transsexual person may have undergone "sex change" surgery or may not have done. M-F means was born "male" but is really female; F-M means was born "female" but is really male.

Relationship Type: This refers to the type of contact that you would like to have in a relationship. For clarity, "Visit occasionally" implies less frequently than once a week; "Visit frequently" implies once a week or more often. "P/T D/s" implies a relationship in which D/s has a limited scope, only at certain times or in certain areas (e.g. sex). "24/7 D/s" implies a relationship in which some element of power exchange is always present.

Education: Because I am based in the UK, this section uses English qualifications. If your education was under a different system, GCSE exams are taken age 16, 'A' Levels or AS Levels are studied ages 16-19. The reason I am asking for this information is because it helps me to know how to communicate best with you. I have no prejudice against those with few qualifications because I know that personality cannot be taught!

Real Life Experience: By this I mean any experience you have of serving others in face-to-face interactions of a BDSM nature. This could be former relationships, or it could be play at fetish clubs. Do not be embarrassed if you haven't had any real life experience. It took me a long time before I found the first partner to share a real-life BDSM experience with so there is nothing wrong with not having tried it for real yet.

Online Profiles: BDSM profiles such as "Informed Consent", Bondage.com etc. Other profiles such as a Yahoo! or MSN profile, a Blogger, Myspace or LiveJournal site or anything that shows a bit about how you present yourself to the world at large.

References: A reference is someone who knows you in real life and knows something about your personality and your BDSM interests. They might be an ex-partner, or a friend who you met through BDSM. They should be someone who has agreed to tell potential partners of yours a little bit about you and to vouch for your character.

Height: It is usual to give height in feet and inches in the UK, regardless of EU directives concerning the use of metric units. However, I am able to work with either as long as I know whether you are using metres and centimetres, or feet and inches.

Weight: It is usual to give weight in Stones and Pounds (Imperial units) in the UK, regardless of EU directives concerning the use of metric units. However, I am able to work with either so long as I know whether you are using kilograms or stones/pounds.

Bra size, Waist, Hip Measurements: Unlike with weight and height, I have trouble visualising these measurements in anything other than Imperial units, so please give sizes in inches. Similarly, I only know UK dress sizes, so giving EU or USA sizes will not help me much.

Eyesight: Although this does help me to visualise your appearance, it is also of interest because eyesight can place restrictions on certain types of BDSM play or service. As a glasses-wearer myself, I assure you I have no prejudice based on the appearance issue, I just would like to be able to visualise.

Piercings: The following terms may be unfamiliar to you (although this is unlikely if you actually have piercings there!). Septum: the bridge between the nostrils (a "nose" piercing is to be read as one that pierces the outside of the nose). Private parts: refers to any labia, clitoris, scrotum, penis head, or perineum (meaning the part between the anus and the genitals) piercings you may have.

Health Concerns: This is important because it is a Dominant or Master's duty to ensure the physical and mental well-being of a sub or slave in his care. To do that I will need to know of any conditions that might affect what I need to do in order to perform this duty. I will not exclude any applicant on the basis of their answer here, rather, it means if I accept your application it means I also accept the effort required by any condition mentioned here.

Question 1 is intended to give me some idea about your personality and interests. While a slave might think she needs only one interest (serving her Master) the best service comes from being someone who is interesting to talk to. Show me how interesting you are by filling in this section.

Question 2 is intended to show me what you eel is important in your life, and what makes you feel special. This might show me how rewarding you find service, or it might show me more about your talents. It should be something that you are proud to tell other people about.

Question 3 is about your talents and interests again, and in particular what makes you stand out as having skills to offer that may not be expected of a submissive or slave, but which could enliven and enrich a relationship. They can be anything from practical skills to artistic skills to just fun hobbies.

Question 4 is to give me an idea of how best to reward good service, and also what is likely to be most rewarding to me. Service is not a one-way thing, and I take pleasure sometimes in seeing joy on the face of my partner. So I need to know how to give that joy!

Question 5 is important because hard-limits are the activities that cause genuine distress and to which a person will not consent at all. It is possible to believe that you would consent to anything, but bear in mind "anything" can include serious injury or death - not just familiar types of BDSM play. So please put some kind of answer.

Question 6 is a space for you to put any information that you feel I should know, that hasn't been covered in any of the other questions, and also your opportunity to show that you have properly considered what is involved, and have read the information available on the internet, about me.

Since it's likely that with the advice pages to be added, the site is going to grow in terms of number of pages, I've got around to making a stylesheet to keep everything with the same theme.

This has turned into quite a neat little project for me to learn and practice HTML skills that I haven't used in over a decade!

Some notes about filling in the form

This form does take some time to fill in, so it is worth planning your answers in advance, either by using a word-processing application to copy-paste the questions, or taking a print-out. It can take between 30 minutes and an hour to provide answers to all the questions.

If you are unsure which answer to pick from a pull-down menu, try to decide which is nearest to how you describe yourself. None of the answers will be binding, and many of these subjects will be discussed again if your application should be taken further, at which time you will be able to explain your answers more fully.
